Cary Stewart M.D., Ph.D.

A native of Southern California, Dr. Cary Stewart graduated from Point Loma Nazarene College with a degree in biology and chemistry. He earned his M.D. from Loma Linda University Medical School. He also attended graduate school at Loma Linda University earning a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. He completed his internship and residency at UC Irvine in Internal Medicine, including a year of formal training in hospice care. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Dr. Stewart has also been involved in medical research and has published articles in pharmacology and anti-cancer journals. He is also actively involved in developing web pages and integrating information technology into the practice of medicine. He has lectured on health topics to community members, as well as given presentations to the scientific community.

He is on the medical staff at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center (Laguna Hills and San Clemente) and Mission Hospital (Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach).

In his free time, Dr. Stewart enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. His extracurricular activities include spending time outdoors hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, camping, fishing and surfing.
